Between the hours of 2 and 5pm there is nothing we look forward to more than Afternoon Tea.  This quote from Henry James says it all.  There really is nothing better than a lovely cup of tea and a scone with clotted cream to brighten up the dreariest of afternoons.

I was recently given a new tea set from Royal Albert.  The Old Country Roses collection is the perfect pattern for a traditional English Afternoon Tea.  I am absolutely obsessed with it and look for any excuse to use it!  It sets the scene for tea and transports you to another place and time–perhaps in the library at Downton Abbey.
