For International Women’s Day we wanted to post about a woman who has inspired us and countless others.  Emma Watson is not only an incredible actress, a recent college grad and everyone’s favorite Hogwarts student, she is also an activist for gender equality.  Her new campaign HeForShe in association with UN Women is a solidarity campaign for gender equality.

The campaign is trying to make gender equality more than just a “women’s issue.”  Watson urged men to take up the fight at her HeForShe speech saying “[it’s] your issue too.” Thousands of men across the world have taken the pledge to join the fight for gender equality.

Male celebs including Harry Styles, Simon Pegg and Eddie Redmayne have all taken to twitter to support the HeForShe campaign and take the pledge to make gender equality their issue too.
