Downton Abbey played host to one of their most distinguished guests to date. No, it was not a Turkish Gentleman or any visitors from the turn of the century for that matter. Today HRH The Duchess of Cambridge visited the set of Downton Abbey at Ealing Studios.

The Duchess arrived on set wearing a cream coat from a high street maternity label Jojo Maman. She was greeted by one of the twins who plays Lady Mary’s son George, Zac Barker. She was given a tour throughout the set including the set of the Servant’s Hall and even the make up trailer.

Brendan Coyle, who plays Mr. Bates along with show creator, Julian Fellowes showed Kate around the set of the Servant’s Hall. They topped off the visit with a lovely photo of The Duchess with the entire cast, barring Dame Maggie Smith, who was unfortunately out sick today.

Can we sign up for a royal tour of Downton? We’re waiting patiently for our invite, in the meantime we’ll just binge watch Downton Abbey…and we might just be wearing a tiara.
